Holiday accommodation and vegetarian guesthouse on Clare Island

When no courses are running, we offer a guestouse formula, which differs from a traditional B&B in that you organise your own breakfast and one other meal (we provide all the  ingredients, all organic or home grown), and have one three course meal, either lunch or dinner, with us and our helpers at the main house.
Rate of guesthouse is  65 euros / per person (single room) or 50 euros
/ per person sharing. This include all food (vegetarian organic, including one cooked 3 course meal, either lunch or dinner). Minimum stay 2 nights.

Eco-friendly, self catering accommodation is also sometimes available at the centre.  This is located in a very quiet part of the island, away from the harbour and the pub, and offers superb views over Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. It is ideal for people wanting a quiet time away from it all.
Accommodation in the old cottage comprises 2 large en suite ground floor bedrooms and two sleeping lofts, together with a large dining / sitting room, separate kitchen and toilet / shower. It sleeps up to 8. Important note: all toilets in the old cottage are compost toilets.
The modern extension comprises 2 upstairs bedrooms, bathroom, downstairs toilet / shower, downstairs bedroom and kitchen / dining room. It accommodates up to 6 persons. 
Wood burning stoves are installed in both houses with wood and turf supplied.  The hot water supply comes via solar panels adjacent to the cottage (with electric immersion as back-up). 

Please note

  • Both houses are strictly non smoking.

  • There are no television or microwave oven in either of the houses.

  • Children and pets are welcome.

  • The cottages are a long way from the harbour, pub and shop.
