Christophe Mouze
I started practicing and studying yoga
in Ireland fourteen years ago.
Since then, I have studied with a number of senior yoga teachers all over the world.
I originally trained as an Iyengar teacher, and I still value the Iyengar method for its precision and
attention to details, but my practice and teaching have been influenced
by a number of other yoga styles, particularly ashtanga (which I loved
right from my first vinyasa), and by the
atma vikasa style of
Venkatesh.
In addition to my morning asana practice, I regularly
practice pranayama and meditation.
A few years ago, I gave up a promising :) career managing a small IT
company, went to India, and come back only to teach yoga full time. I
still work with computers, though, as I am the webmaster of the
Yoga-ireland.com and
yogaholidays.net sites.
I
also passionately love cooking (I am French after all...) and have a
keen interest in ayurvedic nutrition. My past loves, sailing and
horses, are getting a new lease of life on the island, and I am
developing new interests such as gardening and growing trees. Theo and
Maud are currently teaching me the art of fatherhood, which I enjoy
very much.
